I got so sick of "serious" gamers taking every game like it's life or death and if you're not an amazing teammate or opponent then you're worth being scolded relentlessly and mocked for being a "noob" and terrible and not knowing how to game. It's just so unnecessary. It's gaming. It's supposed to be fun.
That's why I don't play the latest CoD or the latest sports games in online modes, I don't play fortnite or Apex or whatever else. I play games for fun, I play games with story modes, games with single player modes or casual online modes. Games where I can relax and just play. If I zone out a bit because I'm just gaming, fantastic!! That means I'm having fun. Palia has been one of my more intense obsessions of late, and it's got such a welcoming, cooperative community as you work to gather resources and complete quests. It's fantastic. I love it. It's the definition of what an online casual cozy game should be.
Real gaming is better than "competitive" gaming.
