Thanks @Ragnar , he was 18, blind and had a mass on his liver. I had to put my feelings on the back burner and have him put to sleep. I couldn't let him suffer, I loved him too much to be selfish. Sometimes doing the right thing is the most painful decision you have to make but we make sacrifices for those we love.
No @Ragnar , he was my last. I figure at my age and physical condition and with my cats living 18-20 years, I wouldn't want to have to worry about who will care for them when I can't anymore. Adopting an older pet wouldn't work for me either as they eventually require expensive medical care that would be a hardship for me. Sadly, I am resigned to living without any more fur babies.
